What Is a Transponder?
Generally, a transponder is a small chip inside a key. This is used in modern vehicles to deter theft. The transponder or "chip" key must be programmed to a specific vehicle in order for the vehicle to start.
Why Does My Key Not Turn the Ignition?
There are many reasons such as dirt or grime stopping the tumblers from aligning, there could be bent wafers in the cylinder, or possibly just a bent key itself.
What Should I Do If a Key Broke in a Key Way?
Remain calm, and if it is sticking out and you have needle nose pliers, pull it out and call us for a new key. If broke off flush, call us to come extract it for you to avoid further damage.
How Much Does Service Really Cost?
This depends on what you really need. We do our best to be transparent and we are very reasonable on the prices. We are not here to hurt our clients, but to support our community.
What Are Free Bonus Services?
Services we provide at not additional cost such as inflating your tires, and if you have a check engine light on we can plug in our computer and share the results at not charge to you.
Why Not Just Go to the Dealer?
In most cases we can provide the same service at a discounted rate as the dealer. We come to your location which also saves you time and a towing bill. We alos support dealers if needed.
Can You Reflash Certain Vehicles?
Yes, we know there are many vehicles that have to have a chip re-flashed in order to program a new key. We have the knowledge and the equipment to take care of the job.
How Do You Program a Key?
It takes specialized equipment to program a key, and a lot of remotes to a car, truck or SUV. There are many tools out there that may, or may not, work which is why we use professional programmers only.
